What Does Coke On Your Gums Do

The end ... Singapore

The train where we spent the night of my birthday toured almost all over Malaysia before leaving the north, near Kuala Besut, where we took a boat that took us to some islands called Perhentians. It's a completely tranquil, despite coincide with school holidays in Malaysia, we do not find it as full as expected, far from it. First we went to the largest of the islands, Pulau Besar, spending a few days with crystal clear waters and wild forests.

These islands are a fantastic place for diving, and although it was not in the plans, I end up pointing to a PADI Open Water . Juan did not mind being a little solinho for a few days, not that this is the world's worst place for it. For three days and a half my companhera Karin and I studied hard for the certification exam (below we see doing the test), not that it was complicated, but this is not the typical place where one expects to be studying at night, so it was a bit harsh.

But all was not theory ... There was obviously a lot of practice and that was rather more fun. As there is no water here "confined" to the practices, or pools, that part of the IIH test in shallow water on deserted beaches only accessed by boat. The exercises we were doing real dive surrounded the coral and marine life totally spectacular. These photos are from the last dive, a joy. We saw several turtles, angel fish (which comes in the picture with blue stripes), trigger fish, many clown fish (Nemos or) swimming in its anemone, stripes ... the perfect place for lovers of the seabed.

And to John in the meantime? as had been cold for a bit and could not dive well, it happened a few days snorkelling (or diving mask and snorkel) throughout the island. I think he knew her almost completely and also enjoy a lot. Saw some giant turtles (not always necessary to go deep to find them). He was attacked by a trigger fish that was guarding her nest with eggs (and in these cases get a little aggressive) but nothing happened, a few fin strokes and "I'm okay now" were enough to go their separate ways.

also saw, and this is the best, dozens of sharks, and here is that there are many reef sharks, blacktip -called . They are supposed harmless to humans, or so it seems, and often swim forever in the same area, so went over there and returned Juan in shock of seeing so many. Appeared to have confessed long when a large enough, the mother of the tiburoncitos, and said "I want to make wings." Here we see, that lone wolf out of the water with their fins and mask, I spend so much time to soak is not as non shrugged.

After a tiring day, Karin and I were rewarded with our certification. Here we are with our instructor, Petra, we provide our provisional license. The time of graduation, come on. We were delighted, especially by not having to re-display the course videos soporific.

As we wanted to know all the archipelago, we moved to the island more Pequenho, Pulau Kecil. Is supposed to be the island for backpackers, more youthful atmosphere than the other, but we guiris bars. The truth is that it was another paradise Pequenho corals, sharks and lots of marine life. Even if we had to choose we are left with the other island, where there was a greater environmental concern, was a little more carefully, and the beaches and the mountains were much cleaner.

saw here not only sharks and fish of all kinds, the bungalows were surrounded by a large land animals, palm trees and banana trees were full of squirrels, geckos (giant lizards) aparecian every night, attracted by the lamps. But the mother of all lizards was this behemoth "monitor lizard" we saw our window with the last day. We were stunned for a while observing it and when we came out we just say a word a "mother of mine that big beast!".

Besides that, we relax, we lie to the paunch, and in receipt of tropical fruits available. Weather accompaniment, not the last days, and even to heat, the rain came and it was very cloudy. Finally, considering where we were was not to complain, and the turquoise of the shallow water stressed more, if possible, under the gray clouds of the storm that you see below.

After a few wonderful days in Malaysia we came back to spend a nice evening on a train back to Singapore the next day catch a plane back home. We had no more time, but we were going with the clear intention of returning to know more about this wonderful country, where especially impressed us the smiling and cheerful character of the Malays. Almost everyone who tried were so kind that deserve to be mentioned. Here I am on the last day with the girls working in the hotel. John is with duenha the restaurant where we ate in Kuala Besut, a bar called April where we were treated wonderfully, gave us carinho home cooked with them and we should fall well because we ended up giving away a few pieces of delicious fried chicken. "Present for you" , the girl told us when we brought him.

The following manhana were already back in Singapore where John finally materialized buying a PSP (which Ninho see it with new shoes). We had a lovely farewell day on which we walk along the river and enjoy, again, this spectacular city of bright green gardens and modern architecture.

We had been a work in progress here, see if the famous chili crab fell short of expectations. In a restaurant in The Esplanade gave us a feast of seafood: lobster salad we loved, breaded shrimp that ate skin and all, and of course, chili crab. Turned out to be a crab midway between crab and crab, cooked in a thick spicy sauce ... truly delicious. We had a good time to elbows greased with, yummy, sipping ... checking in order that the fame of the "crab" was deserved.

That same night, with mixed feelings, I flew thirteen hours to London (Europe again!). From there we take another plane would leave at 12:00 pm on Friday 13 in Madrid. It was the end, after 11 months and a half trip, 351 days, 15 countries, 3 continents, millions of fantastic experiences ... came back home!. It was hard, but also glad to know that he would see our family, our friends and we could finally eat omelette and ham .... but that is another story.
